Shipping Process: Upon accepting our offer, you will be provided with a shipping label based on your selected service. It is your responsibility to package the device safely to prevent damage during transit.
Courier Insurance & Liability: The maximum compensation available for items lost or damaged in transit depends on the courier service you select at checkout. By choosing a service, you accept the following insurance limits:
- Royal Mail: If you choose Royal Mail, your device is insured up to a maximum of £100.
- DPD: If you choose DPD, your device is insured up to a maximum of £1,000.
- Excess Value: If your device's value exceeds the insurance limit of your chosen courier, Mobile Direct is not liable for the difference. We strongly recommend choosing the service that best covers the value of your item.
Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss remains with the sender until the device is received at the courier facility. Once the courier accepts the package (proven by a drop-off receipt or scan), the risk transfers to the courier service subject to the insurance limits defined above.
Lost in Transit:
- Royal Mail may take up to 15 working days to deliver your device. If your device has not arrived within this timeframe, it may be considered lost in transit.
- In the event of a lost package, you must cooperate with Mobile Direct and the courier to file a claim. Compensation is strictly limited to the insurance values listed above.
Accessories and Packaging: Mobile Direct requires only the device to process your order. Do not send chargers, cables, original boxes, or other accessories unless specifically requested. We accept no liability for accessories, SIM cards, or memory cards sent in error; these items are recycled upon receipt and cannot be returned.
